What is this Mexican rebozo that all the moms are talking about?
Women all around the world have special cloths they use in every day life, but in each culture it has a different name. There are African kangas, Chinese mei tai, Korean podegi, Japanese onbuhimo, Peruvian mantas, and more from any culture you find. The rebozo has been around for hundreds of years. It came about after the Spanish came to the Americas and required the women to have their heads covered in church like the mantilla use in Spain. These indigenous women were not as rich and had only hand woven cloths. Pretty soon they realized that these cloths could serve other purposes and could be used to carry things, assist a woman in pregnancy and labor, carry a baby, and more. I would like to share with you some of the wonderful ways a rebozo can improve your life and I bet you will be amazed at how a little piece of cloth can make life so good.
